About POSTCURIOUS LLC

After graduating college, I worked at the 2nd escape room that opened in the United States. Taking on the roles of game master, prop designer, and eventually location manager, I spent two years immersed in puzzle gameplay experiences. When I left this position, I was driven to keep designing puzzle games, and began to work on my first tabletop game in 2016. I started PostCurious in 2018 and published my first game as a limited edition. It was well-received, and I immediately began to work on my next creation, The Emerald Flame, which was successful enough to Kickstarter that I could begin to transition into making game publishing my full-time work. Since I started my own designs, I would always strive to make the kind of game that I would want to playsomething challenging, rewarding, and user-friendly, but most importantly, I wanted to create an immersive player experience that integrates the gameplay, artwork, and story in a way that feels holistic and resonant. I want to create games that will be memorable for players, and allow them to connect with friends and family over a shared experience and overcoming of challenges. There are now five published PostCurious games, one of which was designed by another female creator. In the future, Id like to be able to produce and publish more works by other creators besides myself, especially from marginalized communities, as well as work with more writers, artists, and designers. We never use AI in our creative work, and consider the human impact to be a crucial part of what makes the work interesting and relatable for players. It is also extremely important that we pay creatives fairly for their contributions to the work, and we usually offer higher royalties to our collaborators than what is considered standard in the board game industry. Although some reviewers have called our games the best the industry has to offer, and many players regard them as their favorite tabletop puzzle games, we are still relatively niche and unknown compared to larger publishers who can afford to spend more on marketing and have wider distribution networks. I do believe that the products we make are special, and would love to share them with a wider audience.
