Mirates mission is simple: Preserving and uplifting Mexican culture through thoughtful innovation of food & beverage. We are a full-service restaurant and bar specializing in contemporary Mexican cuisine paired with an award-winning bar program. Our bar utilizes only Mexican spirits, Mexican wine, and beer along with an array of pre-Hispanic and ancestral beverages we make in house. Our bar program places a heavy emphasis on sustainability in effort to educate our consumers and promote an informed consumer which plays into long term viability of agave spirits. We utilize strict buying practices to ensure that all our producers we work with meet our strict buying criteria. Many of the producers we work with, make batches of their spirits specifically for our store. Our beverage program was just names as one of the North Americas 50 best Bars in 2024, one of only two bars in all of Los Angeles to receive this prestigious designation. We are a busy venue boasting two bars, multiple dining spaces, and private event spaces all in a beautifully restored restored 1920s Los Angeles building with a deep history in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA. Mirate is owned by Matthew Egan and represents his second restaurant venture after Mirame, in Beverly Hills. One of the key elements in the success of this business is creating an experience at Mirate that can be enjoyed by neighborhood patrons for weeknight dinners and drinks, or to celebrate special occasions. By creating a concise, yet scalable menu, Mirate is able to succeed in both categories.
