Four Seasons Women’s Apparel

My Dad, George Kutsunis (first generation Greek), started in Geneseo, Illinois 62 years ago with a single retail store. He is 89 and still working part-time! I have been running the business for 32 years. We specialize in women’s apparel in Missy, Petite & Plus sizes. We cater to women 55+. As women grow older their bodies change and they truly struggle to find fashion that looks good & fits! Four Seasons Women’s Apparel specializes in fashion that fits no matter your size or shape! We have 6 stores in Illinois & Iowa. We also have 1 gift store called Pegasus Fine Gifts that my Mom started in 1992. Pegasus Gift Shop carries gifts, Hallmark cards, we have a coffee bar and we also make our own Homemade Fudge. We have over 20,000 customers that shop with us in our various locations every year. I know this because we have an extensive rewards program and we keep track of purchases and we send out rewards postcards frequently. In addition we send regular e-mails to our customers with coupons and discounts. We have great relationships with many of our customers. As an example, my Store Manager in my Davenport Store has built our sales because of her dedication to her customers. They love her so much. One of her customers even gave her a trophy that said ”Best Boss”. I know so many of my customers across all stores. We value our customers and provide the best service we can. We also have a dedicated staff. While retail can be one of the most challenging employment sectors, we have the opposite! Over 80% of my staff has been with me a long time. At least 80% have 8-26 years of longevity. I treat my staff well, not just financially, but I offer flexibility with schedules and we are nice to work for! We have a passion for retail. We work hard and we love our customers and our employees.
