About Flyspace Productions

Flyspace Productions is a woman owned event production company located in Pittsburgh, PA. We believe that community is essential and that by presenting high quality, spectacular events and projects we can create the shared experiences and unforgettable moments that bring people together. Our team presents many large-scale festivals and hundreds of events each year that range from small community events to fully produced galas to international conventions. The events that we present touch millions of people, and we believe that through our efforts to create incredible experiences for guests, we are making a major impact on our region. Through the events and culture that we support, businesses can attract and retain talent, families are choosing to live in our city, young people find exciting entertainment, and we are creating jobs and opportunities for hundreds of our neighbors. Our company has grown dramatically. We entered the new year in 2020 with 7 full-time staff people and about 50 part time or temporary crew members to help us execute the events. Our revenue for the previous year had just topped $2.5m and we were excited for an upcoming year of new events and expansion, with goals to hit $3m in revenue. Then came March 13, 2020, and we watched the future we had plotted out for the year evaporate, seemingly overnight. We stayed committed to our clients and our staff through the pandemic, and were determined to not just survive, but to thrive. We went on to acquire two audio companies at the end of 2020 and kept our staff on board through pivoting to virtual and outdoor events and with the support of the government assistance available. In 2021, we found that the community was ready to gather again, and we were ready and waiting to go. We quickly had more work than wed ever had, and our full-time staff grew to 20 people and by the end of the year we had hit $5.25m in revenue with no signs of slowing down. We continued to grow through 2022 and hit 40 full time staff and revenues of $9.5m. As we wrapped up 2023, we had matured to the point that we had brought on a c-suite including a CFO, COO, and Creative Director, and for the first time were operating with a full slate of management team. In many ways, we were in start-up mode, having had to reopen after the pandemic and growing at such an exponential pace, and are very proud of the work we have done quickly to establish systems, policy, and procedure to support the new size and scope of the company we have grown to become. We have built a 5-year strategic plan to continue our growth with a goal to hit $30m in 5 years through new services and expanded geographic territories. At the end of the day, no matter the size or reach of Flyspace, our mission remains strong to continue to innovate and grow to connect people so we can build community.
