Fancypants Baking Co. is proudly a women-owned (and women-owned certified) brand crafting indulgent-tasting, delicious crispy cookies with an elevated twist. Founded by Maura Duggan in 2004, Fancypants originally started as a decorative cookie company in Massachusetts and she has evolved the company into a decadent crispy cookie brand. Inspired by the homemade cookies Maura made with her grandmother after school, Fancypants flavors are classic, approachable and innovative with a special fancy twist. As one of the first upcycled cookies, Fancypants is committed to sustainability as they bake with upcycled oat flour and are proudly a zero-food waste brand. Fancypants cookies are available nationwide through retail partners, on online platforms, and on their own website. Fancypants differentiates ourselves from competitors in several important ways to make sure that we are unique and to ensure we reamin profitible. First, we focus on taste. Our ingredients are premium, using real butter, eggs, and flour, with no additivies or preservatives. The cookies are also certified non-GMO Project Vertified. It is common sense that delicious food is made using great ingredients, but its suprisingly uncommon to find premium ingredients in the cookie category. We are also the first company, ever, to have a co-branded product with 200+ year old King Arthur Baking Co., the employee-owned B-Corp company known for its quality flours. We are extremely proud they chose Fancypants as their inaugural brand. Second, Fancypants has 3 substantial sustainability initiatives that no other cookie in the category has: the brand is certified upcycled, we use recyclable packaging, and we have a partnership with Farm Powered, a company that turns our cookie crumbs into renewable energy. All of these attributes make Fancypants a Cagtegory disuptor and excite consumers who are able to enjoy a delicious product while also creating a positive impact on the environment. Finally, Fancypants is women-owned certified through a national certificaction, WBENC. There are far fewer female owned and operated manufactuing companies in the US, than male, which puts us in a substantially differernt category.
