About ELEMENT 119 LLC

From its humble beginnings in the Connecticut garage of founder Andrew Zeppa in 2010, Element 119 LLC has grown into a thriving manufacturing business with 49 full-time employees. Mr. Zeppa, a gifted chemist and material scientist, has dominated the automotive coating industry by creating a cutting-edge lineup of ceramic nano coatings that eliminate the need to wash your car ever again. Sounds impossible, but its true. Element 119 has been creating and commercializing advanced ceramic coating solutions for more than 14 years. We serve a wide range of clients, largely in the automotive, aerospace, and marine markets, including the U.S. military and Fortune 500 partners. Our coatings are 100% made in the USA and sold mainly to automotive detailers across the U.S. and in 81 countries and counting. While protecting billions of dollars in assets over the years, the business has earned AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications, internationally recognized symbols of quality management. Element 119 is known for its industry-leading System X line of highly protective coatings, a proprietary, ultra-slick ceramic technology for cars, planes, and boats that offers extremely hydrophobic and durable protection. Our ceramic coatings interlock their molecular structure with the molecules of the surface they are applied to, essentially becoming the functional surface of a vehicles paintwork. They provide previously unachievable levels of slickness, gloss, durability, and chemical resistance. This warrantied protection can be registered with CARFAX, further adding vehicle value. In addition to quality off-the-shelf offerings, Element 119 creates custom solutions to meet specific client needs. Time and again, the team has been able to solve customer problems where larger organizations with far greater resources have failed, largely through ingenuity, agility, and dedication to quality. These core values, along with strong relationships with suppliers and distributors, have enabled us to achieve continual rapid growth. Consistent growth has led to operational expansion. We recently moved into a new, larger 131,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in central Connecticut and increased our workforce. The number of employees from underrepresented populations has risen by 35% in the last few years. Robust growth has also allowed us to explore new areas of innovation and R & D. We are currently working on five Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts with the U.S. military to develop coatings for aircraft leading-edge erosion control, preservation of static aircraft displays, anti-corrosion protection for aerospace ground equipment, anti-weathering for water tanks, and snow/ice/dust removal for solar panels. Our innovations have positively impacted vehicle, vessel, aircraft, and industrial maintenance processes by providing more affordable, less time-consuming, and more environmentally friendly systems of protection. Thanks to the strong leadership of CEO, President, and head formulator Andrew Zeppa, who holds pending patents in specialized ceramic coating technologies and has studied business, materials science, and engineering, Element 119 received the Small Business Administrations 2023 New England Exporter of the Year Award and the 2024 Presidents E Award for contributions to growing U.S. exports.
